1. Wash with normal-temperature water

Hello!! …Hair fall, a worldwide big problem for women like us that just never goes away — it's really worrying. Hair fall can come from many factors, especially our daily haircare habits, whether washing, blow-drying or straightening. So today the admin has brought some great tips on washing, drying and straightening to keep hair from falling, for you girls.

2. Don't wash hair too often

Keeping our hair clean regularly is a good thing, but washing too often can become harmful to our hair, because if we wash very frequently, the amount of oil on the scalp gets washed away, making the scalp dry and the hair damaged, plus annoying dandruff. So anyone who washes every day, we recommend washing every other day instead.

3. Mix shampoo with oil in your palm before washing

When washing, many people probably like to squeeze shampoo and plop it on the hair, or some like to squeeze shampoo onto wet hair and then scrub it into a lather. I'd say that's really not good, because most shampoos contain chemicals; if we plop the shampoo on, or pour shampoo straight on, the concentrated chemicals hit our scalp full force and may cause irritation. Even worse, if we don't rinse it out completely, the chemical residue clogs the pores and can cause hair fall and thinning. So every time you wash, squeeze the shampoo into your palm and mix it with water to lather before applying to your scalp and hair.

4. Apply conditioner to the ends of your hair

Conditioner is a product that makes hair look soft, sleek and full. Many people feel odd if they don't use conditioner when washing, and believe that using lots of it all over makes hair softer and prettier. Let me put a stop to that idea, because the main ingredient in conditioner is silicone, which builds up on the scalp and clogs the pores, causing hair fall and oiliness. If you want to keep enjoying conditioner, we recommend applying it to the ends of your hair instead.

5. Use cool air to dry your hair instead of hot air

After washing, we have to dry our hair, right? Many people use a blow dryer as their main tool, and most dryers blow out hot air, but some have a natural cool-air function too. We recommend using cool air, because drying hair with hot air harms our hair — even though it dries faster, the heat makes the hair lose moisture, making it dry, brittle and prone to breaking and falling. So for the good health of your hair, dry with cool air, or switch to a fan, or let it air-dry naturally — that's better.

6. Use a heat-protection product

Every time before blow-drying, straightening or doing anything where your hair will face heat, girls should spray a heat-protection serum first to protect the hair from heat to a certain degree, so our hair doesn't take the full brunt of the heat and doesn't dry out and get damaged so fast. Don't forget, girls — before using heat on your hair, mist on some serum first.

7. Don't blow-dry or straighten soaking-wet hair

One thing girls should never do is blow-dry or straighten soaking-wet hair. If we blow-dry hair while it's soaking wet, we have to dry it longer to get it dry, which means our hair takes heat for longer, increasing the chance of damage. So we recommend letting hair dry until it's slightly damp, about 10–15 minutes, before drying. In the case of straightening, anyone who has straightened soaking-wet hair will hear a sizzling sound like something frying — that's our hair being seriously harmed. If you're going to straighten, better wait until your hair is dry.

8. Section your hair into parts when drying or straightening

Every time before blow-drying or straightening, divide your hair into appropriately sized sections — not too thick and not too thin — because if the section is too thick, we'll have to dry or straighten it repeatedly, exposing the hair to heat over and over. But if we make the section too thin, the hair takes direct heat and is more likely to get damaged. So section it just right, so your hair doesn't take repeated, full-force heat.

9. Use low heat

Many girls like to use high heat when straightening — turning the device on and cranking it straight to high. Actually this method isn't good for our hair at all, because sometimes our hair doesn't need that much heat to straighten, but we turn it on at high heat right away, and our hair becomes more likely to dry out, get damaged and break and fall more easily. So start by using low heat first, and only increase to high heat when truly necessary, to avoid the high heat that damages hair.

10. Iron your hair in one pass

When straightening, we recommend ironing in a single pass, so we don't have to straighten the same spot repeatedly. Straightening repeatedly is like exposing your hair to heat over and over, and the more heat your hair encounters, the higher the chance it dries out and gets damaged. So iron your hair in one pass, slowly working from root to tip to prevent damage.

These are everyday matters close to us that shouldn't be overlooked, because they can harm our hair and scalp. Any girls who are doing hair-damaging habits, don't forget to apply the techniques above. If you keep doing them, your hair will weaken and break and fall easily until it thins — don't say I didn't warn you~
